That is an itereresting effect Nick and I think it works well on the lathe; highlighting the important parts.

Thanks! That is my boss' lathe, it probably hasn't been used in 30 years but he has an emotional attachment to it. I've tried to get him to bring it home but he likes having it around. haha.

Love the light painted lathe, very creative.
Nism I think the colour of the water looks a bit off and distracts from your subject. Great shot but I'd personally desaturate that ocean.

i know i did turn WB more blue because everything felt a bit more, so maybe i'll have a go at hitting the blue channel in isolation

By PP if you mean the blur then I'd like to point out to you that it was all in camera i.e. shot it with a 24mm TS-E...

^^ LOL! Actually I was referring to the vignette. It could be a shadow but either way it works.
