And the second one looks as if there is alot of reflections off something, maybe the filter or sliding glass door

first one is sydney harbour, I've taken that shot many times and just for once did it out of focus intentionally and wanted to see your feedback, second one there is no filter, the reflections on the right are from the car next to me. croppage away

I'm liking that Sydney Harbour shot. I think it would look great printed out giant-sized.

Definitely a departure from the norm, but I really like it! I think its because even though its all out of focus, you can still make out what the scene is supposed to look like (boats, dock, bridge, etc.). Nice shot IMO!
