hey all, just got a rebel xs the other day and finally got around to taking some actual shots:

natural lens flare

i think this is the same kind of tree/flowers that Rasidel posted a page or 2 back. just a tree in my backyard

^ Would of been much better without the lens flare, and +1 1/2EV comp.

IMO, lens flares are generally avoided for a reason, they work well only for achieving specific looks, generally vintage, generally in portraiture. Some landscapes make good use of them, but i don't feel this is one of them

to each his own. i wanted the lens flare, its what i was going for.
