For some reason whenever we take him out, everyone thinks he's a girl!

there's a certain period where kids look like girls or boys. pretty common. don't worry, it goes away.

+1 on that. I can't tell you how many times people have called both of my daughters "Buddy, Little Guy, Boy etc" when they were that age.
