Hey guys, long time no see! Been really busy lately with Gaby moving in and we're going to be moving again very soon too, but figured i'd post something.

    55mm, ISO 100, 1/320 f2.8

We didn't have the money to get her parents in California anything for Christmas so I thought it would be nice to take pictures of Gaby in something not very gothy, more nice and print them and send them to her parents. She's never had "professional" portraits taken, not even senior pictures. I picked the snow because being born and raised in So-Cal she's never seen snow before so it was her first time freezing her @$$ off.

I need to re-edit some, now that I see them on this computer, some of them she has a cyan tint to her face and some have a magenta tint to them- but this one has looked good on every screen i've seen it on.

Also, my first time shooting a person in snow.

    ~Cory

PS: Can anyone with a calibrated screen tell me what color her skin is in this one? I know it's overexposed, but on one screen it has a cyan tint and on this one a magenta.

Looks on the magenta side to me and especially compared to the first shot where her tones look very nice. However, I really like this shot - you captured her very well.

Can't seem to get rid of the magenta in GIMP- it keeps coming out a little off. oh well. Next time I will remember to change my camera back to RAW.

It's good to be back Adam, thanks.

So there will be more cats on this page

    200mm, ISO 200, 1/250, F4.

I'm thinking about getting the canon Tele extender for shots like this... I've been finding that 200mm is sometimes just a tad too short.
