Dennis....love the colour of the flowerand like the way the droplets and shadows adds to the image...
Drama....another good shot...love your use of DOF!!!
danidabi...Apart from slightly blown highlight on the foreheads of the guys, I think the shot looks perfectly fine...
arcticreaver...welcome to the forum....nice car you've got there...next time try not to frame the car so close to the edge on the RHS....also try acquiring a polariser to reduce those harsh highlights due to the sky reflection...

RHS stands for Right hand side.
Regarding the polariser...well brands like Hoya, B&W are known to be good. Remember, a polariser leads to a 2 stop reduction in light i.e a scene that requires a shutter speed of assuming 1/500, due to a polariser, the same scene will need a shutter speed of 1/125 as the light passing through the polariser reduces. Also remember to buy the polariser according to the size of your lens. Each lens has a specific filter size.

micheal, when you say siggy 105 macro, do you mean the dg version or the older version?
Theres a non-dg version for sale around me, and its alot cheaper then the dg version or the canon 100 2.8...

I don't like direct flash for flowers when shooting indoors....I always bounce it off a wall....
I shot it outside in my front yard
