Taken with the nifty fifty...similar shot to the one posted in the other thread...but Post processed it today so here it is....no selective colouring ideas here, simple out of the camera shot....
50mm, 1/60, f6.3, ISO 100
Nice shot, I'd like to see a bit more saturation in the color make it a bit more vibrant though, but a very good "straight off the camera" image to use for some post-production experimenting.
Body: Canon 50D Lenses: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, Pocket Cam: Canon SD1100is
Two more reasons for me to upgrade to the 50mm f1.4 but unfortunately they don't have it in stock....maybe I'll go for the Sigma variant....
Nice shot droopy...I like the light falling across the board....
NOOOOOOO stay away from the Sigman unless you only shoot between 3ft and 10ft of distance. It front focuses at less than 3ft and severely back focuses over 10ft. I want it too but I've done tons of research and they haven't been fixed yet. Rumors say Canon may release a f/1.4 mkII 50mm sometime next year.

some more from yesterday, one thing I've noticed that when it comes to low light, no matter how fast the shutterspeed or the F number, the image always seems "softer"

Thanks...will look into more saturation next time....

I have also but I'm still not sure....I found a seller with the Canon and I'd save about $60 if I got for it over the Sigma. And if a MkII is released than it'll surely cost waaaay more than it costs now plus it'll take ages for it to hit the market here...Maybe I'll keep my nifty and get myself a Sigma 30mm f1.4....lets see...I still have time to think about the upgrade..

Playing with my new 17-40mm f/4L USM, it certainly gives me more width than my 24-70mm
I need recommendations on different filters or effects that I can apply to this on the bottom pic. C&C please
