    sorry - I forgot.. that was not "pointed straight up". It was vertical orientation, flash at 90 degree angle, pointed up. And, no cropping.

    wanted to reflect on Nick's thread "Lookin' Back".. here is a shot from May 2007. This is a shot I thought was "pretty good". And, it has its own character and flair. But it's clear it has some issues - obviously the noise, and, it's not framed too well.

    ISO 500, f/5, 1/3 sec, no flash

    Who wants to test the red eye reduction in there software? Just back from the eye doctor.

    My gal in one of my first dSLR shots. I've owned my SLR for less than a year, so there's not a lot to look back at and compare...
