I tested the highlight tone priority custom function of the 450D in this shot. Got tired of adjusting exp comp on the fly with the sun in everyone's faces. Just wanted to check it out and see how well it works. What do you guys think?

Hey guys. I'm back a few days earlier than expected. Hope you have all been well. I haven't started processing the vacation pictures yet so here is one I took of the dog shortly before leaving. I'll post a few vacation shots soon. Film simulation using Alien Skin Exposure 2.

Worked well with the sun to her back. I didn't know it was on by default!

Just fooling around... a composite of 4 images... no tripod.. no manual exposure (used AV)... shot in JPG... still turned out surprisingly good

here's my first contribution to the dslr part of the forum. made in egypt, about 3 weeks ago, with no idea i aimed at the north star.

I've really got to try some of these long exposure night shots. Did you use the camera's light meter to determine exposure or some other method?
