    I can't make my mind up about this one. The photo, of course, doesn't do justice to the real view. I'm not sure if I should have tried to include more of the (unexciting) foreground silhouette or cropped it out all together. What do people think?

    A little background on the picture...I was driving past this scene, obviously couldn't click it while driving....so stoped and parked on the pavement (luckily no security was around), ran back and took this...

    You can read about the rule of thirds here. You "violated" it because your horizon is (almost) centered vertically in the photo. But the colours are so lovely that the "violation" really doesn't seem to detract from the photo.
