The glare is just too overpowering in these first two shots, IMO. I like the last one though.

Garden at Night

Shot in my garden at dusk by 'painting with light'. This was a combination of 3 photos (1 exposure processed 2x from RAW, plus one separate shot), one each for the sky, snow and gazebo.
It was -20C here last night while shooting this, so I was keeping my flash inside my coat between uses to keep it warm. I wanted to put my camera into a plastic bag before bringing it into the house, and while I was fiddling with the bag, my flash fell out of my coat and disappeared into the snow. DAMN! Turned out that it was ok in the end, but still....

great shots everyone.
JTL, love this Xmas tree, such a clear image and incredible amount of detail.
Dusty, no matter your flash went into snow, the image turned out spectacular, simply amazing and it looks you have a great garden, hope this gazebo is not your house.

Thank you!
We Canon owners know what our cameras can do at ISO 1600. Other camera makes/models may be nice for one reason or another, but for my money, I'm staying firmly in the Canon camp because, at the end of the day, all that matters to me is image quality...regardless of ISO. Also, the 24-105mm L IS is one heck of a lens. Additionally, I shot it RAW and converted with C1...which I'm very found of. Best RAW tool I've ever used. Add to that my steady hands, and the resulting image was inevitable!
