fantastic shots here. B&W church is amazing, reflection so clear like a glass.
but... JTL, your kitchen Tibet shot looks not just nice, it stands out!!! unbelievable how you managed to take this, such a crisp and a lot of feeling and drama in this.

Had to take a couple photos last night between working (part time bouncer for modeling joint)
They looked decent on the camera, not sure on exif, the camera has also been misplaced sometime during the night, so when i get it back i will throw a couple up from the lingerie show last night

OK? That white balance looks great to me?
What sort of problems are you having setting the correct WB on your DSLR?
XTi is it?
Is it difficulty setting WB at a specific location, under specific lighting, or overall?

Finally a clearish night
for danielg

Finally had a clearish night, have been waiting to check the 70 200 F4L with a 1.4X TC
I am not enjoying the TC much but this makes it worthwhile

Jesus, I need to go outside late night more!
That was the type of moon I was addressing in the Moon thread!
Lots of character with a waxing/waning moon.
Great capture Drama!
I wish I had a friend with a 400 f/2.8 right now.

thnx! like i said that one i posted is one that turned out ok (of my first shoot)
I took a few more but they've been corrected in software
this one for example i had to shoot using flourscent WB. even though the parking lot lamps were tungsten. the blue colours of that cinema looks purplish and cool. the yellow maple leaf with lines to its left is supposed to be gold. the "movies" sign i believe is golden brown.

so my issue is, the camera has difficulty setting it by itself especially in AWB. the presets are not very accurate either. It seems like my only choice to get it all proper without having to post process is to get a white/grey card and set custom white balance for every set i take.
im going out to try again

The leaf looks more gold than yellow to me? Yellow would be lighter.... and the movies sign does look golden brown?
That image looks great to me, the colors look even and balanced.
Since I was not there I can not compare.
Would you shoot something with colors and white in it and post the shot?
Maybe you have a non calibrated monitor?
