From my trip to the Grand Canyon last weekend. Taken about 5 miles down inside. Camera sitting on a rock with 10 second timer set. Took about 20 trys to get this picture !

Its a bit over exposed on the top left, difficult to control with the 1.8 wide open
Nope, with the 18-55 at 55mm f/6.3.
The source of light was the window towards the left of her face, and if i metered off the bright part of her left cheek, then the right part of her face was turning our very dark
So i went with this compromise instead, and it turned out ok.
You first see a photo with your mind, and then capture it with your camera!
