    Sick of trying to figure out this problem--HELP

    I love my camera, but I hate reading the manual. I usually wade in, figure out what I need to know, then resort to the manual if all else fails. Here is a problem I can't figure out. I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700 (God, I hope I don't regret getting this thing). When I try to delete photos lately, it takes a full minute or more for the job to be completed! What's going on here?? It drives me crazy.

    What's TIFF?

    I monkeyed around doing my usual push buttons and wait and see what happens thang and Lo! it fixed itself. Then I see this reply from ANT and wonder what the heck is TIFF? I'll look in the manual...New User

    It's always but always a good idea, whether it's hardware or software to RTFM.

    R = Read
    T = The
    M = Manual

    I'll leave you to figure out what the F is ...

    Everything is in the manual,

    But...on the left side of the camera, you have a "size" button. That button determines the mode your pictures are taken. When taking "fine" images, the delay really isn't too bad.
