Good vantage point for NYC July 4 Fireworks?

Does anybody know of good locations to take pictures of the July 4th fireworks in New York City? Specifically, I'd like to be able to take pictures which are suitably "far" away such that I could capture the fireworks in the foreground and buildings in Manhattan in the background. That would most likely mean Queens I would guess. It seems all the obvious locations are (I'm guessing) going to be on the water and thus "too close", which would only allow me to take pictures of the air bursts themselves. Are there any public locations which would allow me to take pictures framed like these examples I found on the net?
