Anywhere to buy a 20D?
I'm probably looking to pick up a Canon 20D, and am wondering if anyone knows of a good place to buy one.
I've seen some used ones listed on forums like FM for the $650 range, but they tend to go pretty quick.
Any other places anyone knows of that I can check? New/used/refurb isn't a big deal to me, but the $650 range is really what I'd like to spend for the body.
I'll buy a 30D if it's too hard to find a 20D, but what I was really hoping to do was buy a 20D now with some nice lenses, then spring for the 30D's replacement in a year or so.
TIA!

You can look on ebay - there are some refurbished ones from good sellers.
I don't think B&H had any used ones this week.

FYI- I just got a 30d on ebay from cametaauctions for $959.95 plus
18.00 shipping. They are bonded.

I shop Adorama all the time. I have bought two refurbished lenses from them in the last month and the customer service and quality of the transaction was perfection.
I just checked their Overstock department. They have Canon 20D bodies (no lens) refurbished by Canon for $719.95. These come with a short term warranty but are good as new when you receive them.
The Used department at Adorama didn't have any 20D's available.
I have bought three lenses from eBay and have been lucky that I didn't get scammed. I don't recommend you use eBay unless you are very savvy how to identify the honest sellers.

I went in to see what kind of exchange I could get for my EOS 20D on a new EOS 30D. I was told that $400 was most they would pop for, even though I only have 6000 shots through the camera.
I, of course, told them to "pack sand" ... but was then informed that refurbs from Canon are priced accordingly, at $450, on the wholesale market ... then jacked to $749 by the shops for profit.
Sounds to me like a major-league rip-off ... considering you can get a brand new EOS 30D (with that famous one-year limited manufacturer's warranty ) for $200 more. But, if you want to keep your local shop in business ... you will submit.
I have to admit, there are a lot lot issues in this manufacturing gig that really gall me to no end, of course, one of them is this imaginary or arbitrary pricing. Oh, it's pretty real on your wallet, but it's more of the value aspect to it that has me reeling.
I still have my 20D, because it shoots better than the $400 credit it represents against a new EOS 30D. Perhaps when the 40D rolls out in the Fall, I may make the move ... but when it's 30D vs 20D ... the 20D still holds the real value ... at $400! LOL There is no way that the 30D is six-hundred dollars better! Geez, Louise!
