    Sandisk or Lexar?

    Hey... quick question:

I'm buying a Nikon D80 and I wanted to know which SD card would be better to buy it with:

    Sandisk 2GB Extreme III -- $40.95
    Lexar 2GB -- $44.95

Both are 133x and same capacity.

    Thanks.

You won't notice any difference between the two.

Hmm wonder whats up with those prices? Where are you ordering them from? My 4gb cards were $38 from Newegg.

Just so you know, all the memory cards are essentially made by one company. SAMSUNG makes the flash memory and other companies put their sticker on it for "resale".

Yeah, I didn't think there'd be any noticeable difference, but the difference in price bugged me.

    Prices are from B&H.

They are both reliable brands. I mainly use Sandisk cards but my oldest SD cards had a Ritz Camera brand, However in really small print the Ritz cards say Lexar.
Never had a problem with any of them,

You really don't need Sandisk or Lexar, lesser known brands have proven just as reliable. I use Transcend right now, but the next time I buy cards I'll go with whatever is available.

I agree with David. I have CF cards from Kingston, Lexar, Crucial and SanDisk. In actual usage I can't notice any real difference among them.

I'm using 2 of them with my S2...love them. They cost me $38 each at the time, looks like it has gone up a few bucks. Still, after shipping $12/gig is dirt cheap.
