    I pulled the trigger!!

    Canon EF-S 10-22mm
    Canon EW-83E Lens Hood
    Canon 2x II Extender EF

I am not sure about the 2x (have read a lot of bad things) but I did not want to waste my time with the 1.4. I will let you know what I think after the w/e... if i get it in time. I am having it shipped to my work place and i think that that may take more time... hmm we'll see

I am really excited to get the 10-22!! I cant believe that some people (RNY) want to get rid of theres.

anyway... I know this extra stuff will not fit in the bag that I have... maybe, naaa prob. not.

    new toys on the way!!!

Good choice with the 10-22 and hood. I bought a generic brand hood when I got my 10-22 and it vignetted like crazy. Ordered the EW83E & it works fine. It's a great lens and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Nope havn't had the opportunity. I think I would really like it tho! I am getting really close to getting the 17-55. I have another shoot for the quarry job coming up. I think after that I will sell the 17-40 and pick it up!

Can't wait to see some samples when you get the 10-22!

the 2x TC on a 70-200 has 120mm over the 1.4x, but at 280mm and below the 1.4x is far ahead in IQ, is one stop faster, and focuses quicker

    there's a $1600 15mm L fisheye?

    i know canon makes a $1700-1800 14mm L non-fisheye and a $580 15mm non-L fisheye...

Tough croud!!! yeah ReF, I was talking about the 14mmL super wide for 1800 so I hope that clears things up a bit.

anyway... I have to give b&h a call first thing to see if I can use the discount code. I also noticed that I ordered the import 2x, not the usa... so hope i can get things switched around in time for the w/e

If you want fisheye, why not check out the quite amazing Tokina 10-17mm f3.5-4.5 fisheye zoom for APS-C?

It apparently performs very well optically, gives you 10 x 1.6 = 16mm fisheye at the max....

    14 x 1.6 = 22mm, a bigggg difference with the Canon 14mm!

With some sample shots. I for one am quite impressed with this fisheye zoom (!!) lens.... And it does not break the bank.

And I am not sure what a 14mm L non-fisheye will bring what the 10-22mm does not already do very well?
