Xailo,
Here ya go again.
Time to change your sig.
I was hoping you'd stick with Canon. I'm waiting until March to upgrade.
Great pics as usual. Those ceiling lights are awesome.

Thanky you drama.
Gsquared, thank you, as soon as I can I'll post those for you. Thank GOD, I asked for more work, well I got it.
rawpaw18, thank you also very much... that's the 18-55mm kit lens.
chrisl, thanks for the support. I haven't had a good internet connection for a while. I'll get around to the sig, I wouldn't right Canon off just yet in all actuallity they're aspects of each that I like. I still want to see what Canon and nikon are going to do this year. I see along with the 70-200mm Nikkor a 70-200mm L in my future also. lol what the heck it's only money.
FLiPMaRC, thanks pal and it's been interesting to say the least I definately miss the range being that I always shoot at the long end for the most part. hopefully the 70-300mm will take care of that as a walk around. I have had too much time to enjoy it and learn about the flash system. Definately I still have a lot too learn see some more books in my future too.

Beautiful shots, XaiLo! Looks like I wasn't the only one changing from S3 to D40 Mine's on the way, should arrive Fri or Sat.
Concerning the lens, Ken Rockwell was very impressed with the "new" Nikkor/Nikon AF-S VR DX 18-200mm 3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens. Yes, quite expensive (about 700$). But good quality, excellent zoom range and image stabilization. He called it "the only lens you'll ever need" besides an extreme wide angle for landscapes.

on the 18-200mm
I have that lens, and really like it. That said, while it is a great lens for many situations, it is not fast enough for some situations.
The f/3.5 - 5.6 is not going to stop any action in less than ideal lighting. So if you can't use a flash (most indoor sports), it is not a good option. Less than ideal lighting without moving subjects, it does quite well - even without a flash - due to the VR.
If you are shooting indoor sports, go with an f/2.8 lens, but your selection is low on the D40.
