Will K100D be compatible with Pentax new lenses?
Hi all,
I've heard that next year Pentax will produce new kind of lenses (dont know what they really are yet, if someone knows please tell me the improvements) . So will K100D be compatible with them? Thank you very much

The new lenses are designated "D*" which I guess is pronounced "D Star". They are supposed to be weather-resistant if not weather-proof. After the (legitimate) hype about all Pentax lenses working with the K100D it would seem silly to make ones that were incompatible.
(Though the new ones will have a different motor, so we will have to wait and see...or email Pentax and ask. :-)

Yea they will be but you will not have the "supersonic AF". I dunno what pentax calls them but you need an KAF2 mount in order to use it. Don't worry, you will still have AF with conventional motor driven means.
SpecialK, you ended up getting the DA 50-200?
