I bought Sony batteries for my S2 and they couldn't hold a charge longer than 2 days. I have switched to Energizer, and I haven't had a problem since. I've heard good things about the Sanyo Eneloops, and Powerex from Thomas Distributing. I bought a Maha charger from Thomas Distributing and I' very happy with it, and the service I received from Thomas.
A good photograph is knowing where to stand.

I think they are all the same, IMO the key is the charger. You want one that has 4 seperate LED lights that charge independantly. No matter how bad each cell is it will get its full charge, if one is weak you can weed it out with the charger.
I have this little white duracell charger that charger is "1 hour" and it charges each cell independantly. Sometimes one cell is done before the other but i atleast know wich one is the weak one. They all usualy finish within under a minute from each other but i have a set that is off a little more (kodak set)
yea energizer 2500mah is what i have
and it has the charger bower was talking about
with the independent charging of the batteries
if one is fully charged, it will just shut itself off

I think Newegg has the powerx for around $11.00. I would think any of these would be able to allow you to shoot the maximum. I've used the LCD exclusively which uses more power and have taken more than 500 pics with ease.
I thought about who I am... and realized I was an
unformed, unreconciled imagery, without "GOD"
for me.. my 2gb card usually gets full before the batteries even die..
i sometimes shoot video... maybe a couple
and i use the LCD half the time.
and i do a lot of zooming in and out
i also turn the camera on and off a lot instead of letting the power saver take over..
