    Samsung S600 Batteries

Hey! I'm new to this site and have a question:

I want to buy this camera:
    http://www.buy.com/prod/Samsung_DIGI...202573632.html

for my mom for Christmas. The manual on the samsung website recommends using 2 specific types of 2500 mAh batteries for power. Would it be fine to use 1600 mAh? Wouldn't that just result in being able to take less pictures or is that actually bad for the camera? We already have 1600 mAh batteries for our current camera, thats why I ask. Thanks!

The 1600's will work but not last as long.
the number is the millamp hours of the battery (capacity)

Ohh I see. Sorry it took so long to reply, I thought I'd get an email when someone replied to my post . Thanks for the help! But unfortunately Buy.com messed my order up and I canceled. I ordered a Fuji V10 from newegg.com that comes with its own batteries. Thanks again though!
