I thought this came out well considering being at the longest focal length, wide op[en and handheld.

    More Great Photos!

Many thanks for the new photos. They really look great. I was just wondering how everyone felt about possibly expanding this thread to include the new Fuji S-700. Or, even beginning a new thread to support the S-700?

I love my S-6000 and have just started my grandson on a S-700. It is so impressive, that I am going to buy one for myself as well. Tell me what you think.

    More pictures from the beach

More pics from my beach outing...

all pics untouched except resized in picasa.

    1st pic: ISO100, 1/350s, f4, AUTO, 6.2mm
    2nd: ISO100, 1/600s, f6.4, Program AE, 6.2mm
    3rd: ISO200, 1/680s, f8, Program AE, 29mm

I'm very impressed with the s6500fd in terms of battery usage, I was able to take about 300 shots on the included alkalines. Now using rechargeables. Took lots of night and dusk shots without flash too and they turned out really good. would not have been able to take them with any other PnS (except f series perhaps).

I would prefer a separate thread for the S700 if that's ok with everyone.

    A Separate Fuji S-700 Gallery/Thread

    Paul and Seo-

I agree with you, a separate thread is more appropiate. The user base will be somewhat different for the S-700, than for the S-6000. You have a great Gallery/Thread going with many excellent posted photos. The S-700 photos might well impose a new theme which would not be fair to all the work you have already put into the wonderful Fuji S-6000/S-6500 gallery effort.
