Almost forgot, these shots were taken with a Hoya circular polarizer attached.

Man, those are some nice shots. I can only hope one day I can shoot like that...really nice P.

If I may ask, was there tremendous amounts of USM applied? Because your shots are BY FAR some of the cleanest shots I've seen with an S6000, especially the duck shot, lots of very nice detail in that one. Mind if I ask what in-camera sharpening setting you used? Or if you shot RAW?

I really don't do a whole lot with any of the PP. The USM was at 25% with a radius of 1 I believe. I set the H/S at 10% 5% respectively, and the curves are a slight S across the grid, just a couple points each way. Once in a while I will tweek levels if need be and use Neat Image if it's a high ISO shot.
These are by far the cleanest shots I have gotten out of the camera and I believe 2 things really helped me out.

1. I shot RAW
2. Hoya circular polarizer filter

A world of difference from the shots I took on my trip to the gulf coast where I had no filter and shot in .jpg

oh btw, I keep the camera sharpening set to soft.

If I had to guess I'd saw RAW is the bigger of the two factors. I'll try and get some shots up soon. Maybe even a JPG and RAW of the same thing.

Hi Paul-

I like the idea of a S-6K album. Thanks! The bridge shot with the reflection was very nice indeed. It is a very stormy day along the Oregon Coast today. Even though this was taken in color, it looks like a B&W shot. That is how stormy it is. BTW took this under an umbrella.

Wow that is stormy Sarah, and I did think it was a B&W. We have had a warm streak for the past 2 days. Made it into the mid 40s with sun both days.
