I wished I had better luck today....my daughter was in her first offical winter dive meet....lighting was terrible, I was nervous...they we over 150 kids there...not of course diving with her...she was lucky her group was small....but still.....I only had 2 pictures that turned out...none of course that were actual air time.....I tried manual, I tried different things.....but no luck.....this was full zoom

Hi, first post in here, bought an S6500FD recently from Ebay for about 100 and tried it out in Barcelona.. I kind of knew what I would get as I've also got an ebay'd S9500 for a similar price. Why both ? Well originally I couldn't decide which of the two to get and eventually plumped for the S9500 this summer.

After a holiday trip to Egypt although happy with most photos, I was disappointed with some of the lower light photos (ISO400 noisy and grainy) from the S9500 and thought the S6500 (given the glowing low ISO reviews) would be significantly better.. well having both side by side I've found them to be actually quite similar, with perhaps the s6500fd being slightly less noisy but of course different features as well as pixels! Anyway I shall have to decide soon which one to keep.. and on to a few s6500fd pictures, no post-processing (not that sophisticated yet !)

    Gothic Cathedral Stained Glass : ISO400, 1/60, F3.9, flash

    Gaudi Balcony : ISO200, 1/160, F5

    Gaudi Cathedral : ISO200, 1/50, F2.8

    Gaudi Cathedral : ISO200, 1/110, F2.8

    Cheers, Martin.
