for all of you who purchased the S6000fd a while ago and paid around $300 or even less and even received the $50 FUJIFILM rebate you will definitely appreciate this great camera even more when you find out that you can barely find a store online that is still selling this camera and if you do find one the price tag is $400 and up!
There are sites still advertising it for $300 or less but these are scam websites so be careful if ordering the camera!

This was also the case with the great f30 and f31 models.

Lunar eclipse tonight folks! Last one for 7 years.
It was a crystal clear night here but around -7f so I only stayed out for around 15 shots. I was impressed that the camera performed well at this temp, I was outside for around 25 minutes.
This shot was quite challenging since the light was shadowed and constantly changing. Long exposure was also a challenge even with a tripod since the moon is actually moving quite fast. I finally found the sweet spot at 1 second. Fast enough not to show blur but slow enough to get an exposure that showed some detail. Not a great shot but decent all things considered.

My moon attempt, not the lunar eclipse though (it was too early in morning for me here)...

Shutter priority mode, 1/5 s, F4.9, ISO 100, full zoom, shot in RAW. It isn't handheld or tripod used, but I put the camera on window sill (while window was opened) and used 2 s selftimer.

That shot turned out pretty good peggy, almost the same shot as mine except for shutter speed.
