    Hi Pedro,

I get to use this camera on a daily basis for close-up work.

    Here's what works for me:

    aperture priority mode
    aperture to f8
    iso 100
    use a tripod
    use the self-timer
    macro zoom range 28 - 100, (10 cm to 3.0 m)
supermacro zoom to 28 only, (1 cm to 1.0 m)
turn off the flash and use external lighting

Experiment with different ways to illuminate your subject.

This picture of the back of a US penny was taken in supermacro mode at a distance of 1 cm using one 50W tungsten lamp.

    Have fun!

    Joe

My first foray into HDR imagery...

Also, my kitty, Muggles, basking in the sunlight... I like the way the light plays with the hair (even though some was blown out... pretty high contrast pic, so what can you do, still came out well!)

Haven't posted here in a while but still plugging away with the S6000. I'm still yearning for that DSLR but pictures like this make me love this camera.
