Hello all,
I hope your holiday was as great as mine. I was lucky enough to have my whole family together this Christmas including my son who just returned from Japan and my grandson who had his first Minnesota Christmas. He's used to Gulfport Mississippi weather so this was quite the eye opener for him. Here is a shot of his first experience with snow, which we have quite a bit of this year.
Not thrilled with the experience...

Here is a shot of the tree after it was loaded up with presents. Understandably my grandson Ethan had more than his fair share of the pile given to him. He didn't quite catch on to that part yet but had a blast with all the paper nonetheless.

And last but certainly not least, a 5 generation picture featuring my grandpa, my mom, myself, my son, and my grandson. You don't see this everyday.
My wife took this with her F30 but I wanted to keep these shots together so I'm breaking tradition here and posting in this thread.
Once again, Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone has a happy New Year!
Hi people, i bouth a fuji 6500 and it's very good, i take very good photos so far, but there one photo that i just can't do it, it macro shots, they just not very good.
Can someone give a help? Like macro with fuji 6500 for dummies :P

I never expected that saying "If I just had a way of eliminating those damn wires and keeping the same framing it would have been a perfect shot" would actually challenge someone to go through the effort to actually eliminate those wires from the photo.
Then I got an email from tralexan -- he told me that he has removed those darn wires and sent me a photo so I can see it for myself. Since what he did was nothing short of amazing I sent him an original photo with some tweaks (less NR, better contrast, more correct colors) and he retouched it again. Here is the result:
It goes without saying that I am going to print it and put it up on my wall. Great work tralexan, many thanks!
