And devote it to P_Schneider who was kind inuf to help me when I was confused between 9600 and 6500.Just got my cam today early morning and honestly I was not able to sleep last night!Was on my chair since 3 a.m and moment I got my camera I started to learn functions of it- still a newbie as me jumping fm Olympus FE115 to this giant in just 4 months

..was fortunate to see a peahen on the top of my home at noon so took a snap of it and posting it here,mode it "auto" as I am learning the tricks,hope you will find it useful.

And when it came down she was like this...see the green magic on her neck followed by ash/white and combo of both on her body.The magic of nature is how her color matches with sand to save herself from other species dangerous to her!

Hence captured in my shot,honestly real colors on her wings are fadded naturally and it was a hard shot to get btwn the branches and moving insect constantly in direct sunlight,here it is and just loved the color this creature has which helps to hide itself from others inspite of several colors..I know this snap could be better in expert hands honestly!

Hey Core, I love the last moth shot. Nice. The second to the last shot could have been saved if shot in RAW mode but would be very hard to save as a jpg. Maybe I will throw together a workflow tutorial this weekend since it's going to be too cold to do anything else. (-18 to -25f)

Wonderful shots Cozmo, I remember the wedding shots from over at the other forum. The candid shots turned out pretty good too. I like the child's expression with the hose.
