Wow, for 3200 that looks very good. I assume Neat Image was employed.

Nice shots again P, 3200 is surprisingly decent, no?

I find that at 1600/3200 you get a little color variance, but the noise levels are really acceptable if it were for a web pic or quick emergency shot, really nice for a 3x5 souveneir print or the like.

I will post some of my own high ISOs when I get home. I like how our little collection of s6K shots is shaping up.

Oh yes, and Sarah, that piece of milk jug as a diffuser- brilliant!

Wow- that's a pretty sunset(or sun rise?) love the color in the shore line sand. And also the lines in the sand as well. about that f8- isn't it odd that in aperture priorty we can only get f8? and in manual i think f11. just going by memory as i am familiarizing myself with this and that.

Here are some hand-held ISO3200 shots, 6MP fine JPEG straight from the camera with nothing but a resize to meet forum guidelines:

This one is with no parking lot lights, just the store sign & small wall lights, plus moonlight of course.
(Trust me, it was dark from where I was situated.)

I was pretty happy with these handheld night shots, too. These are handheld ISO1600 shots @ 6MP 3:2, again with nothing other than resize per forum rules.

Nordstrom's on the way in to take the wife Christmas shopping.
It was just after sun down, so what is that, dusk? It was that time of day when you turn your lights on while driving because it's dark enough.

Nordstrom's on the way out after the wife emptied out my pockets.
This was in DARKNESS, with some distant lighting from the street but other than the store's own lighting and the moon, that was it. In retrospect, I probably could've used 3200 and maxed my aperture a bit more for a little boost in sensitivity, but oh well. Had a little nasty lens flare too, darn cheap UV filter.

    One more before I sleep.

I just like this one because the mall had an interesting skylight design. I got a little JPEG compression junk in some parts after resizing per forum guidelines, but no biggie.
