point and shoot camera and shooting jewelry

I am looking for a new digital camera...something relatively small with the ability to take it on me for a vacation and also the ability for my wife to take closeup pictures of her jewelry. ive been recommended the nikon coolpix 4200 but havent seen too many reviews on it. any help or other recommendations would be greatly appreciated..thanks

You might want to look at the HP-R707 (priced at less than $300) or the Pentax 33WR. The 33WR is a digital camera that can focus as close as 3/8" away from the subject and is very good with close-up digital photos. The 33WR sells for around $230.
