    Help with buying a Printer

I am in the market for a Multifunction printer. I have heard a lot of good thing sabout Canon, but I am not sure. My needs are printing pcitures. scanning, copying. Fax is not a big deal for me. I need something around $100 - $150 if less its better. However, I need something that prints good quality pictures. I also have heard that the cartirages are expensive, so what is a good printer whcih uses less expensive cartirages. I also would it to be able to print wirelessly if possible, although not a big deal.

    Any recommendations

    Cheers!!!

    Pixma MP series

I'm sorry I can't help you with the multi function part, but I do have a a Canon Pixma printer and am very happy with the photo quality.
They are in your price range though cartridge prices are what they are. If you want to risk using an off brand ink cartridge, it won't work as well on the Canon papers. I would suggest going to a reputeabler dealer and try photo printing. Do not look at the ones they say have already printed up, those usually come with a marketing package. Cnet also offers some decent reviews.

I don't think you are going to get the whole package- good quality pictures, and especially wireless at the price point you are talking about.
I have an HP 3210 that does all jobs great especially printing pics.
    http://www.amazon.com/Photosmart-321...&s=electronics
Uses 6 individual ink tanks ( at about 9-10 dollars each and you only need to replace the one that is out of ink), network ready ( wired only ) but is about 300.00. The 3310 is the same printer with wireless but about 100.00 more.
Stay away from Lexmark!! P** poor photo printing, and poor life span. The true disposable printer!! When you can buy a new printer for the price of the replacement ink tanks it should tell you something about the printer.
Sometimes you have to be realistic about expectations, features and pricing.
    Hope this helps some,
    Ron

i have the HP 3210 as well and i purchased it for $199CAD because they were discontinuing the model like they do every 6 months.
Superb quality prints of 8.5x11 borderless pics.
before that i had the HP 7960 which was also excellent but it was starting to cost too much because of the type of cartridges it took but its photo printing was just as excellent.

I have a Canon PIXMA and I love it! So fast and great quality! I love the flatbed scanner on it. The best thing about canon is how easy the functions are to use.
