Wesan: It is a genetic defect that deteriorates my vision. It is as of yet, untreatable. As a result, my vision is 20/125. I started losing my eyesight around 18, so i could drive, but now i cannot drive here in Ohio. All my post secondary education was geared toward becoming a Police Officer, so i cannot do that now. Kinda in limbo right now as to what i'm going to do with my life. But thankfully my girlfdriend is very understanding and supportive and we're working through it. She kinda likes the opportunity to take care of me.. y'know.. read the menu to me at restraunts, read me cooking directions on packages and the such.

Ironic i'd get into photography haha.

So there's the short of it!

Hi everyone. I'm Marc and I'm a guy ... I think I live in New Jersey. I have a BS in Computer Science and have been working as a Computer Tech/Data Analyst for 8 years. 30 years old and married.

I joined this forum when I bought my S3 last May. I bought the S3 for my vacation in Malta last August. I had two other P&S digital cameras before, but the S3 is my first with full manual controls. And I've been learning and having fun ever since. I just bought my wife an SD630 for Christmas

This is the latest pic I could find of myself. I was out with friends in Bahama Mamas, Hoboken, NJ about 3 weeks ago.


I've always been a P&S camera guy even before my first digital camera. Here's a list of my digital cameras:

• Olympus D-460 Zoom (1.3MP) purchased 2000; Retired
• Olympus Stylus 300 (3MP) purchased 2003
• Canon PowerShot S3 IS (6MP) purchased 2006
• Canon PowerShot SD630 ELPH (6MP) purchased 2006

I will probably move into the DSLRs sometime next year

You made me curious and I hope you don't mind my asking, but...who is Ito Ako in the picture??

BTW - seems like several of us here share, or have shared, the same interests and professions or occupations - there are Martial Arts people here and I used to be an IT professional too!
