Decided I should finally show my self here. A toast to those that have hung around for the past decade give or take. I only trekked the gear in about a mile, but the camera bag added a lot to the load on the +80 degree day. A cold Boddingtons was worth the weight penalty.

    Hello All,

My name is Jon, I am from Montreal Canada, male, 38 and I am a senior It/Network Administrator. I just started Getting interested in Photography. Dont have the best of Camera, but it does the Job for now(Samsung GX 1S) until I get more and more acquainted with the camera industry and techniques I will surely change. I will be the first one to say I am a NOOB when it comes to this hobby. So many things to learn. SO get ready, hehe, I will probably have more than one question in the near futur!!

So with that said, nice to meet you all and talk to you soon!!!

    Cheers!!

Welcome to the forum Jon, hope you enjoy the photographic learning journey and look forward to your posts.

Kgosden, after 8 years I refuse to take part in the time travel travesty of welcoming you to the forum Seriously though, nice selfie. Looks like the campsite was worth the short trek.

Let me post a picture of myself on my 4000 posts.
I originally came here to find out why my Panasonic FZ20 shot blurry pictures inside the house. I'm glad I've found this site. It's great to meet everyone here and communicate with you all through all these years.
Now I'm a semi-professional, part-time photographer, doing weddings and functions. This has been a very fulfilling hobby. My next step would be full frame gears?

    Thanks DPR,
Normally I don't like staying in front of the camera; which is why I choose to be a photographer.
I was caught off guard that day...

Here's me with my new ride. Eventually it needs to get on some iffy roads, maybe tomorrow.
