Hi I am Scott from Surrey, England. I have bought my first DSLR in january 2010 after spending 2009 using a point and shoot. I did previously own two Olympus OM SLR's about 12 years ago so this year kind of marks my "return" if you like, to photography. I am using a Nikon D3000 and I pretty much miss the live view I had on my point and shoot compact but hey, I am at least taking better photos with the Nikon
I only ever upload my images on the net with my url on them. I don't know what the attitude about that is like here, so maybe somebody can let me know if this will be ok before I post any up? I just dont like to up my images without having my own mark on them to dissuade people from taking them as their own.

we like to see images but if you are fearful of theft you could always upload with a watermark or copyright notice, check with admin to be sure.
most of us post without but some do.
I also use a D3000.
Check out posts in Nikon DSLR picture of the day.

Hi Falconcrest174, How do you like the D3000? Do you ever fin focusing a problem?
I sent a message to the site via the feedback form as i couldnt find a link to an admin or mod, i asked if its ok to post my images with urls on them.

Business or personal names tastefully on a photo are often done here. Try not to totally screw up the artistic merit of the photo with it. I personally use a small name and keep my file size down. Apart from scumbags, who's going to pinch a 800 pixel wide 150kB image is my rationale.
Jeff Keller owns the site, on the bottom of the page is a grey bar with "contact us" or up the top there is a bar "forum rules" with "Jeff Keller- administrator". The name is a hyperlink to post a message to Jeff.
This is the thread Falcon was referring to. It has 13,000 posts many of which are photos and nearly 1.8 million views currently. http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25920

Thanks, I did use the contact us button you refer to so hopefully Jeff will get back to me soon. In the meantime I am going to post one of my images as nothing is for sale on my website yet as it is under construction still.

You want somewhere else to post your photos e.g. fliker, pacasa etc. as a lot of people do not have a facebook account.
