Looks like it could be the sun, but its in fact the moon! It was an orange-ish color for from moonrise up until about 20 minutes after this shot was taken, then turned to its traditional white.

I was trying to get a shot like that of the moon recently, but didn't have my camera with while driving and by the time I got home and found the battery on it drained it had gone from that orange to white.

    Great Shot Turo.

I like images like this. Nice tone and mood. Probably real 16mm would be even much impressive

Very nice evening image. It looks like aurora borealis in north
I would only give a little more bottom and right. And try to walk left and right to find a composition with Moon in one of strong points.

That's beautiful Turo. I wish you could have brought out some details on the left hand side, but again one just cannot have everything. I like the effect the lights through the windows create. A great shot.

Tim, nice shots. They are very sharp and the colours are great. What was the defect? The 24-85 is a nice lens too, though. I think the focal length range of that one is even more useful.
The problem with the 28-105 F/3.5-4.5 is that its widest aperture is only 4.5 even at widest of 28 mm. After checking the exif data of all the photos I shot with it I found the lens locks itself electronically at 75 mm for about 99% of the time; that's why.

My picture of today. Taken in my neighbourhood, on the riverside. I like big lonely trees very much and I always wanted to have wide angle to shot them. Now I finally can, but real 17mm would be perfect, what means 12mm with digital crop. Well, someday

Nice watching and C&C are very welcome.

I like the tree. Our deciduous trees are about to head that way over the next month or so.
