That's what we need more automotive shots and less bugs.

I was told that this was my favourite shot of my favourite bike from Sunday.

Thanks, probably 30 or 40 feet.
With the 100% digital crop that image fills my screen and still looks sharp enough. I'm pretty happy with the 70-300. I just need my short tele now and I'll be a happy camper.

Was at a conference over the weekend. Got up early, relaxing by the beach taking multiple sunrise shots framed through sea oats, etc. Then lowered my perspective away from the broad horizon and began concentrating on some of the other components along the shoreline and found this little guy.

Not unless he eats kids. I think he was watching the crowd.

    Beautiful Tizeye.

Can't let Rooz be the only one to shoot wasps. With the heat (35C/102F) today I've now got several nests of these by my backdoor/pool. Kids have layed down the law - "you've got to get rid of them dad."
    Uncropped, manual, 1/320 sec, F16, ISO 400, 90mm Tammie.
Holding the SB600 in my left hand against the cam body under the lens. Fix the focus and then moved the cam fore and aft for focus.
Oh and standing on a chair hoping not to fall off or be stung.
