heres a macro, not the best but it was windy last weekend and it was really hard to hit the focus point as it moved all the time, so this is one of the few that made it! SOOC with a slight crop in lightroom

    cc welcomed and appreciated!

KIWI I like the original. I've been wanting to get some waterfall, but our rain fall is 10 inches below normal. Not good for all the creek's and stream's around here.

Jeepers I wish ours was ONLY 10 inches below normal. We have been in a drought for nearly 10 years now and it's getting worse.

Good find to come across him. Nice focus on the mouth. Did you capture him for future shooting in a windless environ?

What about adjusting curves slightly to darken the image and add a little contrast.

Tomcat I like the geometric looking background to your flower.

great shot. beautiful and sharp. 2 comments. i think the light at the back left of frame is a little too strong. i'd also consider playing around a little with the composition next time to make it more interesting. centre framed is nice but imo portraits can be alot more powerful when you experiment a little with how the main subject is framed. (this is of course, very subjective).

    thanks for the comments guys

RE: Macro - did not keep him, i think he was dying so i didnt want to capture him for his last hours, poor guy, see below another shot, its not a great shot but it reminded me of the predator... lol

RE: portrait - this was last weekend when the nephew and niece came over, i had about 4 minute break while getting dinner ready and snapped a dozen shots of the 2 kids and i took what i got, the conversion on this one was to try and mask the blows backround and i think it did an ok job but definetly not the best composition and could have been a better backround... but given my limited time for photos lately i am pretty happy, and i am really happy with the tammie what a lens!
