I can't believe this is 3200. I never get results like that.

Even though I like K1W1's forest shot, I find there's not enough contrast between items in the scene, the colours all blend together a little much for me so that even the water doesn't stand out as much as i wouldve expected. Love the personality captured of the insect though in Rooz's shot.

    Process?

    Two clicks in Lightroom.

    NYSMv2-HDRish Preset
    WOW-f_Vignette_DK-05 Preset

The beauty of Lightroom is that it is easy for people like me to play.

    This is the original

Lightroom ships with a set of Presets included (down the left side of the Screen in the develop module).
There are literally thousands available on the web.

Start at Lightroom killer tips or Inside Lightroom.

The WOW Presets (85 in all) come from a company call onOne Software and can be downloaded from here.

Presets are one of the brilliant things about Lightroom. You can apply and remove Presets to your hearts content in a totally non destructive way with one or two clicks.

FWIW the black and white forest photo the other day was done exactly the same way. Two or three clicks to apply Presets and there it was.
