had alot of fun today...at church no less ! lol would love to go back to this place with a tripod. all with the 14-24mm.

iso 3200 with D-Lighting on High and in cam NR. not too shabby for a crop camera.

Rooz. great shots of the church. I am surprise the noise level even with D-L and 3200. Was NR on low or normal?

gsusmaniac. those are excellent. definitely new look at the beach.

gsusmaniac, I love the first shot! Not too crazy about the ghost character in the second one, but the first one is great!!!

Rooz, I love that third shot as well! I'm not sure if its the highlights or what, but it looks so "lively" to me, incredible!

Great shots Rooz, but is it just me, or is something weird going on in #1 at the center bottom? That arc of flowers just doesn't look quite right.

i'd imagine thats a result of the NR. no idea.
NR is on default which is "high" at this iso.

Rooz, I like those interior shots of the church.

I've been saving this one for today. This was a spider that was on our porch for about 2 months.

    Happy Halloween

Shooting a Nikon D40 at ISO 3200 with the 18-55mm kit lens wide open should be a disaster, right?

    Not exactly:
