Actually it has been very busy for me. Took photos this past weekend of a sporting event, i.e. running, swimming, kayaking, and cycling (thanks for the comments on the flag photo guys). Last night, the "painting" artists had a function at the Liberace Museum where I also took some photos. Tonight is a camera club meeting. This weekend is a local camera club field trip, a fair, a soccer match, and so on and on....
Here's a photo from last night. I have numerous others as well, including some from another portion of the museum. I was also informed that there is no flash photography allowed in the museum and that photography was just permitted not that long ago. There are probably too many mirrors for most flash photos anyway.
My son is not happy. This ball took out his centre stump.
At the moment he is outside kicking a rugby ball to get over things.
What did I learn today? I need a 500mm f2.8 lens.
For those who don't understand cricket here is the simplified explanation.
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.

DPR are you putting these on a Google map or something. People in the northern hemisphere may not realise how far a standard days drive is in this country.

Leather wrapped over cork ( I think), from memory it's harder and heavier than a baseball.
From a professional fast bowler it'd be going around 100mph. It's bowled from 21 yards away from where you're trying to hit it and it's pitched into the ground from which it rebounds up unpredictably at you or the stumps.
