Do you like the lens then? I must admit, of all my lenses this one seems to show the lowest contrast, but man, I can almost get me ears in the shot at 10mm. Definately at its best from f8 onwards.

Great shots and use of Black and White

NB uncropped and not full magnification.
how did you get so close to that? Have you been watching "Inner Space" and decided to go that step further in photography which involved an experimental miniaturisation process

Stunning detail. And NOT full magnification? Christ....

    Herc,

This lens is a lot of fun to use. And you're probably right, it is at its best from f8 and onwards. The focusing is pretty fast. I've been wanting to take shots of buildings and architecture on a closer distance and so far, I like how it delivers.
I'm yet to take shots of landscapes but I'll post some up when I get 'em.

I was able to pick up a used Nikon 105mm Micro VR at B&H yesterday. I'm liking the macro shots so far

Definitely green when it comes to the artistic side of this, so C&C are welcome.

Thanks! These are with the D700; first three pics are the 14-24 at 14mm and the last one is a 24-85 at 85mm.
