Try this:

If you want to see how I did it, click on "Quote" and take a look at the code I typed. Basically, you have to get the address of the image (not of the website) and put it inside the "" tags

I did do that actually.. I hosted the file on imageshack, copied the URL from the "show image directly" box, this URL to be precise: http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/1...paitalywj6.jpg, then when I was about to post it I clicked the "insert image" icon, pasted the adress there and clicked ok, and got a red cross. I've posted images before So I can't understand why it doesn't work now... anyway thanks for the help, maybe it works next time

Some great shots getting posted here..
DPR & Rooz - love those D300 shots - I would be tempted - but I looked at one - it's just toooo big and heavy for my liking - The D80 is borderline - I could be tempted by a D90 maybe - but I still like my D80 anyway - it's just gone away to the hospital for 4 weeks - so I will be commenting only here for a bit - and snapping with my old KM A200
DPR - I think I love that 90mm Tamron Macro - I reckon I will just have to get me one!!

Twysted Tyres

D70s
18-200mm VR @ 200mm
f/5.6
ISO 200
1/640 sec

Cropped to break the rules and put focus on the tires.

Nothing special, playing with slower shutter speeds and showing movement... These guys were running 300mph+ in less than 4sec.

Smith got his dragstrip - I got free tickets.

Bogen/Manfrotto Tripods/Heads
NAS (D300, Nikkor 80-200mm (or 70-200mm)f/2.8, Tamron 90mm Macro)

And ear ache?

Breaking rules is fun and in this case IMO it works well.

No ear-aches, no ringing... I use my earplugs. However, you REALLY feel it when they open those things up.

Almost as fast as the cars, were the mechanics in the pits. They tear down the engine and re-build it in about 20-25 minutes.

When I clean carpets I don't necessarily expect to see 17-century Chinese doors built right into the master bedroom... even if the resident has a lot of money.

1/60 sec., f/1.8, ISO 1600, EV -1 @ 50mm - light NR and color edit in Lightroom

It was sure dark, as evidenced by the fact it took f/1.8 and ISO 1600 to get one sixtieth of a second. Sure am happy to have something that'll get the shot though. Especially furtively while I'm supposed to be working.

Sunset 'practice' at a lake near my home. I absolutely Killed the rule of thirds here but I still think it's not terrible since the reflection on the lake is so dramatic.. lol.

(image is straight from camera other than some slight sharpening)
