Thank You Andrew, Rooz and Turo
Andrew. love that portrait. I only wish I can do a portrait like that. My shots are usually horrible.
Turo. Your landscape shots are just as good.
K1W1. I was really hoping there might be a reflection of you somewhere. I am still searching on the net
rawpaw18. How do you like LR2. is it worth the upgrade?

15/5/0 unsharp mask in NX2. every now and then i may brighten them up a little using a control point but thats pretty rare and generally only ever needed if no flash is used.
the absolute "secret" for bright, contrasting eyes is your lightsource and achieving perfect exposure and focus. 90% of the time i spot meter off his eyes when in close which is why in alot of my shots i blow highlights somewhere else in the frame.
her are 2 raw unedited files. same time of day, probably within 30seconds of eachother. same light source but there are major differences in the eyes. different metering, different angle.
(large size on flickr). i dont know how to get insert the image so you can click on it for a larger size. sorry.

Only used trial for one day, really like the control point brush stuff ala NX, but it does lag behind at times. I will be using it for a while before I invest the upgrade. Read there is a 15% off coupon which would only make it $84

Already done, thanks for the compliments. Just another candid at the beach.
Going to have to work on eyes though, I had to bring them back in LR2. Thanks for those tips you gave.

Exactly the same way as you would for any link. The smaller image goes where the highlighted text would normally be like this. Click on the image (especially for Accord2003 )
