I know it's nothing special and not difficult to take such a photo but I've posted this one because I like it.
Oh and for some reason I liked it more than the shot where everything was sharp, I have both versions and chose this deliberately.

This was my first time shooting with more than one flash. I had the SB-800 on camera, the SB-600 was mounted on a light stand with deflecting umbrella to the left, and there was a curtained glass door on the right. Which added a lot of warm light while the flashes were cooler, I guess. *Sigh* Still learning.
C&C are MORE than welcome.

Because I can't help but post Dakota...here she is, doing her "hide" trick. Let me just say that I LOVE my new setup. There was some filtered light through my vertical blinds however the room was far from being lit. I used the 24-70 at 38mm, f/5.6, ISO 250 (whoops, forgot to put it back to 100 from the other night) for 1/60 sec. I DO miss the VR for handheld shots at slower shutter speeds, however I'm ok at 1/60. I used the sb600 at 45 degrees and bounced it off of my ceiling. This is the result
CJ - I thought the flash color temperature was supposed to be balanced with the daylight color temperature. I checked out some of your other portraits on Flickr. You got some very nice shots, but I think a few of them are underexposed.
jsnail - Very nice capture.

I could tell you but I wouldn't want you to get all pissy if it's the wrong brand
Another crack at the wedge tailed Eagle and another failure. this guy is becoming my nemisis. Better than my last efforts but still not there yet.
we got inside the enclosure with him but he was quite nervous, (so was I !!), so we had to abort for another time. what i want to to shoot up at him against the blue sky to get rid of the piss poor background and use some strobes.
