kdc41 - dam nice shot, I tried catching a seagull the other day but it didn't come out as nice as I wanted. Was the gul close? or did you crop the pic?
I went out yesterdy and bought a new tripod and head (Manfrotto 190pro + 322cr2.. more on this in another thread). Well seeing I got some new kit I had to head out last night in the icey cold weather to test it out
Anyways the head allows you to turn the camera from landscape to portrait quite easy so snapped a couple shots like that. This is the result:

An HDR composition from Loch Lommond in Scotland, taken yesterday. Turned out reasonable, though it has lost a bit of it's luster and i forgot to fix my focal length.

Could you expound a little on the HDR technique you used? I have seen several methodologies, and haven't tried any. Just wondering things like software, bit-depth of files merged, etc.
Thanks!
Maybe in a new thread, so we don't go off topic too much here.
