Decent flowers around here are rare since the drought hit... I managed to find a bud sorry it's not a light. lol

Returned yesterday from a camping trip to Green River Lakes, Wyoming. The unusual mountain in the pic is called "Squaretop Mountain." The cabins below are called the Osborn Homestead. It was an awesome trip, I'll probably have one or two other pics to post.

The man on the right is my husband, the man on the left is our friend. I kind of wish they weren't in the shot, but I don't want to be a photo snob all the time and I can always clone them out I guess

I just saw this. I really like both the composition and lighting/exposure.
It's interesting compositionally because of the beautiful sense of depth you've captured: the open foreground elements, the mid-ground cabins & tree-lines, the interesting lines throughout diagonally crossing the photo, the mountains and dramatic clouded sky forming a striking backdrop, all combine to create depth, interest and beauty.
It looks good with, & probably would look equally good without, the people in shot. I don't mind the people though, because I think they help give a sense of scale and add to the story-telling quality of the picture.

I cann't see any technical flaws nor can I suggest any pp that may add positively to the photo as is.

Beautiful shot! Glad you had a good holiday and I look forward to seeing more from the series.

A shot of a golfer at the range here in Oklahoma. He said it was cool to shoot him so long as I emailed him the pics or put em on CD for him. Shot 70-80 pics and have 3 or 4 I really like. Just wish I had photoshop so I could get rid of that ugly blue nylon rope!

The Gimp is freeware and Bibble is shareware, downloadable off the 'net.

yeah its a beautiful animal. the guy told me they can get speeds of up to 350kph. i find that hard to believe but they sure are frikkin fast.

Have done 300kph on Suzuki GSXR1000 on road, very scary!!!! It is a
different outlook for the need!

What made you think of the can?
What apperture did you find worked best, does it look better with a pinhole AP or a bit shallower DOF?

Thanks! yeah the can was just sitting close to the tracks(which are not in service anymore) so i just picked it up and set it on the rail lol. and it says i used f/9 but it looks alot shallower than that. I shot that on P so i didnt have to mess with the settings.
