Here's one out of a Hitchcock movie:

    "Chaos"

    ISO 640
    200mm
    f/8
    1/100
    Lightroom Editing

    "Passed Out"
    ISO 640
    44mm
    f/8
    1/100

Is there anyway to add a border that stays with the photo in Lightroom? As well as an name plate?

Hit F1, Click on "Search" and type "border". Should get you this:

"Creating and viewing slideshows / Specifying the slide layout
Add a border or cast shadow to the image

To make your photos stand out from the slide background, add a border or a cast shadow to each photo. Your adjustments are displayed in the Slide Editor view.

    1. In the Template Browser of the Slideshow module, select any slideshow template except Crop To Fill.
    2. In the Options panel, do any of the following:
*To add a border, select Stroke Border. Click the color box on the right to open the color picker and specify a border color. See your operating system Help for information on using the color picker.
*To adjust the border width, either drag the Width slider or type a pixel value in the text box to the right of the slider.
*To add a cast shadow, select Cast Shadow and use the controls to adjust the nature of the shadow.
    "

Thanks, but maybe I should rephrase. Can I apply a border in Lightroom that will stay with the photo after I export it and turn it into a JPEG? I appreciate the slideshow border help. I really like the look of the slideshow border.

I just tried it myself and the border was saved when I went to click Export and save to a filename. Only odd thing is that it saved it as an Acrobat (pdf) file.

    Dennis,

Thanks for the tutorial on page 538. I've been busy and didn't manage to make it back to the thread before now.

    BT,

I appreciate the attempt. It didn't turn out quite like I had imagined, so I guess I'll play around and see what I come up with.

Thanks for the compliments, 500ml and Phil. I'm glad you like the shot

Rooz, nice shot. I really like the bokeh and composition.
Richard, very nice shot. I love the composition.
DPR, very nice shot. I think you did a good job in hiding the captivity of the animal.

Here's another shot of an fly, albeit a dead one. I found this one lying on his back in my room. I think the black and white and vignetting make this look quite dramatic.

Great shots over the last few days in here. The shot of the black widow gives me the willies. I find a black widow in the yard or the garage every few months. I actualy had one crawl across my hand while cleaning the other day. I really like the creative concept of the bike on the road (kiwi). And, the old bridge by camera Junkie. After the stir my last pic created over the HDR non HDR debate I will stick to something a little simpler. Here is one of the 1200 pictuers I took over the last 2 weeks in Maui.

esp, that's really good. It could use a couple degrees of clockwise rotation but that's it.
