really ? maybe i'm being too hard on myself, i thought it stood out like dogs balls.
that made me feel a bit better. thanks .
hey at the end of the day there's no bowl there so i did pretty good i reckon.
what kind of dog?
Also, with the DOF produced at that focal length, its harder to detect.
Problem with cloning is that you need patience. I have none which is why i rarely use that tool. I can just about deal with a duplicate bird (when doing HDR you can get the ghost of the same bird twice), but thats it!
here are a few from in the rain today. havent posted an image in ages so i get to post a few. all with the 300/4 except the last one which is the 105vr.
here's one to burn your corneas out. lol (this is unaltered except for some cloning out of the feeding dish near the log). colours are so much more intense in rainy/ cloudy weather. loved it ou there...a little wet but othwerwise a nice day.
Rooz, spectacular shots, incredibly sharp with awesome colors! Really love the detail in the peacock's eye reflection. That's a killer lens...
look at my cloning on the log on the first photo. its bloody awful. lmao
Rooz,
I'm so jealous at your shots! Those are unbelievably sharp! I'm slowly getting the urge of picking up a D80 but I get comments saying to wait until the D90 comes out
But in any case, got a few shots over the weekend from my friend's BBQ and Philippine Independence Day celebration. Cheers
its unbelievable mate. it stuns me every time i open up the images. not only is it SOOC, but they are jpegs no less. lol
i ran it side by side with a 70-200 today also mounted on a d300. sharpness in the centre is better. sharpness in the corners is better on the 70/200. my 300 has a soft right side i noticed. not sure if thats factory or if its just my copy, (2nd hand).
AF speed is uncomparable though. it feels downright pedestrian when running it next to the 70-200 which is just blindingly fast. and a monopod is a must, cant handhold this baby in average light. 70-200 handheld ? no problem. so its not without its weaknesses.
Rooz. Those pictures are amazing. I too find the jpeg engine on the D300 quite amazing. The amount of time spent on PP is so little now.
500ml
looks like a well celebrated independence day kabayan!
Truflip,
Yes 'twas well celebrated indeed! Do you guys celebrate it there with some Filipino food and parade as well? My gf who's originally from B.C. used to sing at the festival when they have it.
