I'll be heading into Antelope Canyon on Monday. However, since I don't have that lens (dang it), I'll probably use a Nikon 17-55mm or the 10.5mm or both.

Thanks. I'm really enjoying the lens, especially since I don't have anything else wider than the 17-55mm. The fisheye close-up people shots are hilarious (though I can't post those)... I did take a self-portrait with it of the two cats and me.

We hit up Antelope Canyon as well, but it was a zoo of people. Luckily, we spent about 3 hours at Canyon X (same Canyon, just about 10 miles further upstream). The tour operator, Overland Canyon tours in Page has exclusive rights. There were only 4 of us and were able to take as much time as needed to set up the shot.
I had the 10.5, but completely forgot about using it, D'oh! Enjoy your time down there it's a captivating place...
SUCH a cool picture Stuart. I'm moving to AZ from MI in August! I can't WAIT to take some inspired photos. I've grown so accustomed to everything in Michigan. It just seems so generic compared to some of the things I see captured in AZ.

this is such a brilliant image phil. i dont think you've posted an image short of outstanding in monhs. you seem very comfortable with your gear right now and dare i say it...you're in the zone. nice place to be.

I must admit I take quite a few photos and only very few I am happy with. Have become very critical of myself lately!

This would have been a right pain to get the white balance on if it was jpeg.
